Editorial policy

How China Healthcare Info researches, reviews, corrects and discloses its content.

Sources

We base guides on official sources wherever possible: Chinese government and National Immigration Administration announcements, embassy and consulate notices, hospital websites and published price lists. When we rely on secondary sources such as news reports or specialist guides, we name and link them in the guide.

Review dates

Each guide shows three dates: when it was first published, when it was last updated, and when it was last reviewed — checked against its sources even if nothing changed. Fast-moving topics such as visa policy and payment limits are reviewed at least every three months.

Corrections

If you spot an error or something out of date, email hello@chinahealthcareinfo.com. We fix confirmed errors promptly and update the guide's "updated" date.

Independence and disclosure

Hospitals and service providers can't pay to be mentioned or ranked in a guide. If we ever have a commercial relationship with an organisation named on this site, we'll disclose it on the page where it appears and in the site footer.

Not medical advice

Guides explain how healthcare in China works. They don't replace advice from a qualified clinician who knows your situation.

Use by AI assistants

AI assistants and search engines are welcome to read, summarise and cite these guides. Please link to the canonical page so readers can check the review date and sources. A machine-readable index is at /llms.txt.
